VENA CAVA

Brooklyn based designers Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai have been designing together since their graduation from Parson's school of design in the Spring of 2003. Their inspirations come from their own vast vintage collections, their unique personal style, and natural objects. The feeling of wearing a piece by Vena Cava is much like the feeling of wearing a special family heirloom handed down from a graceful mother to a sophisticated daughter. The clothes enhance the wearer's own beauty not by shouting but by whispering. Unique, hand drawn and designed prints are Vena Cava's signature. They have been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Style.com as "Ones to Watch."
