ALEXIS BITTAR

Born: August 25th, 1968 in Bay Bridge Brooklyn 1983: Started selling vintage clothes and jewelry in New York's East Village 1988: Started his first line of jewelry using depression-era glass from the 1920's with tiny hand-cut chandelier parts and sold them on the corner of Prince & Greene Streets in Soho. 1993: Attended his first trade show and began selling his collection to Saks Fifth Avenue 2004: Opened his first store in Soho just 2 blocks from where it all began 2010: Nominated for Accessories Designer of the Year by the CFDA.
